New Drink Hunt: #1 Jack Daniels
I have reason to suspect that my long-standing sole beverage, Guinness, is bothering my insides. Furthermore, it is not getting me drunk. Over the coming weeks, I will be looking for a new beverage of choice. Having fallen out with All other 4-6% beers, and having no affinity with "grape-juice +" I will be sampling the more spiritual beverages. Candidate 1:
The Order: felt fairly manly and convincing, if a little hipster-ish. 7/10
Sniff-Test: smells comfortingly like something our old lawn mower might run on. 7/10 Initial sip: tastes uncomfortably like something our new lawn mower might run on. (Electricity). 4/10 Swallow: vague recoil. 4/10 Aftertaste: charred soil. 3/10 Booze-effect: heady already. 7/10 Manliness factor: good. I like being a dude with a stiff one in his hand. 8/10 Willingness to continue: None. I am unwilling. 0/10 Overall: 50% A disappointing result.
